Old Sign

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Southdown, 14 Feb 2009 by t1mmyb I love this old sign for The City of Bath in Somerset. Despite its slightly forlorn looks, it still manages an air of grace. I saw this photo on one of the guys I follow on Twitter – in his Flickr gallery.

This sign is really simple and probably denotes an old boundary line to the city; I shall keep an eye out for some more old local signs…

Product – Post Bracket

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Signscape post brackets are designed to be attached to standard 60, 76 and 89mm diameter posts, to create a functional, modular  directory stack, at relatively low cost.

The brackets have a 20mm gap to accomodate our double sided miniplank or any other substrate of a similar thickness.  The brackets may be positioned at any angle on the post and more than one bracket may be used to create V-shaped sign structures.

If you would like assembly instructions for this versatile bracket that can be ordered in bar length or as a fully assembled sign system, please request a copy to

I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend, we had some great weather here in North Somerset.  Sue

This is a blog from Signs that never sleep – fantastic web & blog site, have a look round if you get some time. Question posed is this art or a nuisance?

Clic24: 2009

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

Well done to all the riders for this years Clic24, held just behind Signscape in the Mendips. The charity  supports children and their families who are affected by cancer and leukaemia. They managed to raise over £55,000 for a worthy cause.

Heaps of praise particularly to all the guys from Bike City who  completed the most laps in the team and solo category. Well done to everybody for all their efforts . Bike city 31 laps the real bike city 23 laps Teach 21 laps Thud 14 laps. Well done to Pete for organising everything and supporting all the local riders.

Jeremy and I went up to support, unable to ride due to other commitments, but I think we’re going to have to ride it next year – hopefully the weather will be better.

Serious about the environment???

EcoVision Many of you will have been following our progress on our Solar Powered range of products here at Signscape. We will continue to to develop this further over the year and will have new products out very shortly.

“The environmental impacts companies make is coming under greater scrutiny from legislation and customer pressure” [Smart 09]

We have been trying to recognise our own environmental impact, both as a company and individually.  All of our packaging material is recycled, including shredding office paperwork for packaging.  If business’s are genuinely interested in reducing energy costs, but still want to  inform customers day or night we believe our Solar Powered products fit that bill.

If you would like any help in talking to your customers about using our sign systems that impact less on the planet, please give me a ring.
