Paul, currently in Egypt, Kite surfing!

Since Christmas, nearly all the Signscape team have kept to their New Years Resolution by staying to stay fit and healthy.

Sue is running on a regular basis and is now a black belt in Pilates….

Jeremy has joined a gym and is doing spinning classes…

Hamish has started road riding and converted his garage into a bit of a gym…

Ann is on a diet, Paul is busy kite surfing, Colin is running round after his kids and Mike is helping with his kids football, Donna is running up and down the stairs to Production.

Jeremy, Paul and Hamish plan on cycling across Dorset at end of May – a 102 mile ride, we’ve all just started training and will keep you posted.

Madrid in Winter

Acero inoxidable

Sue and I recently visited Sistemas in Spain, we were made really welcome. Its always great to see how customers use our products, but we were overwhelmed by the different way Rafael, Pepe and the team use the products to their best. They are very similar in their approach to many sign companies here, and really focus on good design for their customers. I’m going to put a few on the flckr site for you to peruse.

Whilst we were over there it was pretty cold – headline news that Madrid was colder than Helsinki, Sue had to wear about thirty layers to keep her warm (that was just in bed!). There is also a very different work ethic in Spain; they start work about 9.00am and work through till about 2.30 when they have lunch, which lasts for about 2+ hours, they then work to about 7 – 7.30pm. All of it done in a very relaxed and friendly manner.

We’re now looking forward for them to come and visit us next summer – hopefully the weather will be better!

Countrywide Training

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Countrywide Team This good looking bunch of guys all came from all parts of the UK for a training day at Signscape. We all had a great time – and apart from all the banter, we did manage to look at all the products and see how Countrywide Signs could use them in their day to day work. Tyler ate all the food – not leaving Hamish any (just joking Tyler) and Ersoy asked all the good questions. I think all the Signscape staff enjoyed the day just as much as Countrywide – who have over 50 franchises, all offering installation services throughout the UK.

There was plenty of good feedback and we are in discussion with a couple of companies who want to come along  to our training day early in the New Year – so if you want to come along just let us know.

Product Training

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

DSCF0348 Our next training day on 18th November is fully booked, but if you or any of your colleagues require training on any of the Signscape products we’d love to see you. We look at all the ways the products can be used and show you time and money saving techniques to get the most out of the products and make your life easier. The next training day is schedulled for January, please contact Sue if you would like more information. This photo shows Paul going through some of the sections on our Post & Panel range.
