Getting ready for Sign UK

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Looking forward to going to Sign UK this year – who’s going?

We’re hoping to go – its such a busy time of year for lots of people, being the end of the Financial Year for so many, but it is always worth the effort.  Signscape haven’t exhibited for a couple of years and am really looking forward to being up there this year. Jeremy and I are working on the content for the stand, but if anyone wants to anything specific from our Product Range let me know.  Once we have the stand drawn up I may post the stand design on the site to get some feedback.

It will be great to see lots of our friends and customers, especially as I don’t appear to be getting out of the office as much recently. I also hope their is plenty for everyone to see – I always come away with a few more ideas – mainly from our customers.  We will be definitely showing our new Solar Powered range, together with some of our traditional products, together with a few surprises – so looking forward to seeing you in April at the NEC.

This was a short video Becci recently recorded, which shows our Signscape

factory in Langford. I think from now on I will let Becci do these, as she is clearly

so much better at filming than I am.  I know it’s not the same as coming to visit

us in the flesh, but at least it gives you an idea of all our manufacturing facilities.

It shows our Powder Coating line, as well as some of our products in manufacture

Post & Panel, Noticeboards, Fingerposts as well as our in-house fabricating.

Alternatively you can always pop down and say hello!

Infocurve Lite Fire Exit Sign

Infocurve Lite Fire Exit signs

We have recently supplied some Fire Exit Signs for a project in Wales, all with dual language. The customer was fitting out a very modern clean building and they specified our Infocurve Lite, which looks terrific suspended from the ceiling.

If you would like more inspiration on our Infocurve Lite, why not look at our Flickr gallery, or call Donna or Becci for some prices.

Infocurve – “Make a statement”

Infocurve for Silverstone

Infocurve Powder Coated with applied graphics

I recently had a brilliant comment from a customer about our Infocurve. “This is a fantastic product for making a big statement – easy to install and great flat surfaces to apply our digital prints”.

Available in lots of different sizes and suitable for up to 4 metres out of the ground. Can also be wall-mounted, suspended and with either single sheet or multiple panels.

Ideal for wayfinding and can be powder coated in any of the BS or RAL range of colours.  Also looks great in a scheme of signs, particularly with its little brother Infocurve Lite.

Let me know if you need any advice or help on any of your wayfinding projects, alternatively you will find some inspiration on our Flickr Gallery.

Solar Powered Signs for Children

Solar Powered signs for children

This is me teaching Year 2 pupils @ Yatton Infant School. My daughter goes there and my wife was talking to one of the teachers, who asked if we could come in and talk about solar power as the children were learning about the planet and the harm fossil fuels were doing.

It was a great experience – very different from teaching teenagers. My daughter had helped me make a battery from an old shoe box, with a little 6V battery and light. The children rubbed their hands and put them into the “molecules” to light the bulb – all very excited when it lit up.

One of the children asked why don’t we use solar more?, especially if it saves the planet from being dug up! How incisive children can be..
